Our waitress was fantastic Christine I believe. Will visit again someday. Food was amazing.
We come here yearly and each time we have never had a bad experience.
There were three of us for dinner. We had The Jerk Chicken, The Poffen Burger and The Cobb Salad with Cream of Crab soup, all the meals were wonderful. Two out of three couldn't finish because there was so much food! We look foward to return for more great food!
The Cottage Cafe has been our go-to restaurant/ bar at the beach for the past 15 years. We love everything about this place from the food, the bar, the service, and the atmosphere. Sean (bartender) and Ellen (server) are so amazing and hospitable and make our experience even greater. We can't wait to come back!
We were very excited to try this place. Wednesday at 1pm heading into a holiday weekend and we were told the place had a 20 to 30 minute wait. There were probably 30+ open tables and maybe 10 or so occupied. Hostess told us they were on a wait because of only 4 wait staff... Just sad. Better management or better planning... Just seemed silly to sit waiting with no one else with so many open tables.

Hello Ari,. Thanks for visiting our restaurant. I apologize about the wait for lunch on Wednesday. We are very concerned about giving great service and therefore only give each server a limited number of tables. Unfortunately the week before labor day is a challenge staffing with all restaurants here at the beach. All the college kids go back to school and leave us short staffed for the last couple of weeks in August and first week in September. Wonderful breakfast buffet! The waffle and omelette stations were a treat! Friendly service and food was delicious! Will definitely be back.
The food was fantastic and our server- Ellen- was amazing!!!
Had the most delightful dinner at The Cottage with friends last night! Our waitress Ellen was friendly, professional and attentive- everything an excellent server should be. Two of us had the soft crab special which were fresh and succulent, another had the broiled scallops which she assured me were top quality and my husband chose pot roast which is their #1 seller according to the menu and with good reason. And we can't forget the delicious little muffins they serve, yum. We don't get to Bethany Beach often but with meals ... read more
