The friendly staff will assist you with sightseeing plans, offer information on area attractions, and even provide transportation to and from local cruise ships. The recently remodeled guest rooms all feature a spectacular view of the Gulf and the landscaped pool area. Weekday rates are lower and seasonal rates apply; contact the hotel for more information. This hotel is near the Pleasure Pier and a lot of great places to eat or hangout. All rooms face the beach from the balcony . Staff is courteous and very polite, coffee is great and fun is unforgettable.

I loved my stay here! The rooms are older, the beds are really comfy, the elevator is slow but works and many restaurants in walking distance! The ocean view was stellar! I asked for a higher floor and they put me in 415 which is the middle of the rooms and top floor! I wish I could have stayed longer! Breakfast at the Gumbo Diner which is a shared parking lot was great!!

The boy and I are both busy Houston professionals working 50+ hours a week. So when we both had a free weekend, I immediately booked a quick Galveston get-away. The hotel was crowded, but we had our privacy in the large pool area. Free drinks and snacks in the lobby most of the day. The beach access across the street is clean and relaxing. The staff was lovely and the location is ideal. The balcony with the stunning beach view sells this room. Play some nice music, fix some good drinks and enjoy it. Very refreshing.

We've been staying at the Commodore for 10 years. The Ritz, it's not, but it's an affordable getaway where every room has a view and private balcony. We don't expect much, but what we get is the pricing that lets us come back several times a year.

It was a decent hotel for the money spent. My room could have been a bit cooler and would have been nice to have a microwave or coffee pot. Beautiful views and easy beach access.
