I saw the before and after you got control of Justine Pelletier -- but you say "We are pleased with the progress our patient made as an inpatient..." You need to be honest here -- you accept public contributions and public trust is lost.
You are horrible people. Even if you believe in your diagnosis the fact that you are keeping that child from getting another diagnosis and her family is digusting
BCH needs to stop this atrocity. After several reports of taking children from parents, you should be ashamed of yourself as a healthcare provider.
I'm very concerned about the arrogant overreach of this hospital in the Pelletier case. Removing a child from her parents, as well as the care of other highly respected doctors in collusion with a state agency is scary. If it could happen to one family, it could happen to any of us. I'm sure there are many fine doctors and nurses practicing at this hospital, but a medical climate that allows even one doctor to tear up people's lives is one that needs serious changes. As a mother with children that have Mitochondrial disease I feel the pain of Justina's family. I fear this situation can happen at any hospital and fear this can happen to me one day. I know if I don't agree with something that happens to my children I would not hesitate to get a second opinion. I may not be a doctor but I know my own children and had I listened to their first pediatrician they would not be alive right now. This hospital should be criminally charged for seizing custody of a child simply because the child's parents wanted to follow a different diagnosis from a different medical institution. Every review I can see has one star yet somehow this corrupt hospital still has a 4 star rating. How can that be? A hospital with a history of kidnapping children and changing medical diagnoses to suit their needs. Shame on you BCH for allowing this to happen! #FREEJUSTINA!!
