BCH should not view themselves so highly that they refuse a family another Doctor's opinion. Doctor's like all people should have no fear of the light of scrutiny if they have nothing to hide. I hope you were and are doing the right thing for each and every child. I am not so sure. May God Almighty bring all things into the Light and the truth be revealed.
To tear a child away from the love of her parents is true child abuse. No doctor, commissioner, judge, agency would be willing to lay down their lives for this child, but Justina's parents would do so in a heartbeat. I will support ANY effort that sees the administration of this 'hospital' in PRISON!! You are torturing this child in the name of RESEARCH!! You people are a disgrace to the medical profession. You're not interested in helping ANYONE. You're only interested in being RIGHT. I can only hope the legal system is brought to bear on you in such a manner that your weasel lawyers can't get you off. Disgusting!! No way I'd brig my child to THIS 'hospital.' They would have a safer time in Somalia.
Seems they like to go against other reputable doctors and hospitals and take charge of patients who they rediagnose with no problem. I just wonder how the insurance providers paid the charges to all these other doctors and hospitals for treatments that they say the child doesn't have. Then do get dcf involved when they did not have the time to run all the tests I am sure that would have been required to rule out a mitochondria classification, and have the parents charged with child abuse. As a former pediatric nurse and mother of four I can't believe the steps this hospital and administration has allowed to remove Justina from her family! What happened to the oath you took to do no harm?? I'm praying someone with a conscience can admit their mistake and horrific actions for the last year! This little girl belongs with her family, quit using her for research! She is a person who is loved by her family, not a guinea pig!!

Mitochondrial Disease is a true metabolic disorder that has affected me and many of my family members. Many of my family members have died too soon from this disease. Please learn more about mitochondrial diseases and never, never again, do what you did to the Pelletier family.
I think those Doctors need evaluated and put in a Mental Hosp, not the young girl.
