The Chelsea is my favorite restaurant in town. The food and service is always great. It is hard to find anything on the menu that is not delicious. The Chelsea is a great example of the difference in consistent quality between a family owned restaurant where the family is involved in the day to day details and a corporate owned restaurant where the shareholders are not involved at all.
The Chelsea is my favorite restaurant in New Bern! The first time I went I had their famous shrimp and grits and I was blown away - ven better than anything I ever had in Charleston! The crab bisque is to die for! I have never had a dish that wasn't outstanding. The service is also great and it's a lovely venue for a date night, lunch out, private party or a business meeting. I can't recommend it more!

This was our first visit but it won't be our last. The restaurant was very busy and there was a waiting line at the door. My wife and I waited at the bar with some wine served by a very attentive young lady. As soon as we were seated our waiter appeared and it seemed like he never left our side, even though he also was taking care of a large party of 10 or 12. The service was excellent, the food exceptional, and our evening will be memorable until we return. Thanks to all for a wonderful evening.

Best shrimp and grits I've ever had. One of my favorite dishes. I've had em from Savannah to The Cheasapeake Bay. Chelseas does em the best.

Always an excellent meal!!! Shrimp and Grits are most extraordinary!! However, I've never had a regret about any fish I've ordered. I usually just tell the staff to "just bring me something." Consistently delicious!
Food is absolutely delicious. Can't say the service was great.
