RecommendedThe staff was very professional and polite and everything went smooth from beginning to end. However, the two boats that we rented needed to be reupholstered. Some of the seats were ripped and the foam cushions were sticking out and soaking wet from the previous nights rain. The radio, horn, and gas gauges did not work. The engines were updated and worked well. It was an overall good experience.

We ate dinner on both Saturady and Sunday for labor day weekend. The food was delicious, big portions, good variety, great price and awesome staff! If you are in the Ocala national forest area I highly recommend it.
Awesome place, we stayed his weekend with a total of 18 people. All the rooms were spotless. Rooms are large, cold AC, fridge, microwave, large tv. Boat docks right outside room. Could no have ask for anything better. Walk to dinner.
We just stayed there for a long weekend, the staff was amazing and so attentive. We will recommend castaways to all friends and family. What an awesome place. The rooms were spotless and they are pet friendly. We’ll definitely revisit castaways on the river again. Thank you all and Kudos to Sherri
My wife and stayed for a three day weekend .We had a fabulous time . The staff went up and above our expectations. Awesome Hospitality. Would highly recommend . Sherrie Rocks !!!
We had a fantastic stay!The staff was super friendly and informative. The cabins were very clean.The boats are great.The restaurant next store the Blackwater inn was excellent and affordable.Ask for Christy she’s great. Can’t wait to come back again.
Had an incredible experience this weekend at Castaways! Rental was very clean and the staff were the best I've seen in a long time. Always polite and helpful! Only place I will ever stay when I'm in the area!
Upon arrival we were issued a room that was not the one depicted on website. We had contracted for a river front room, this one was behind cottages in an area with broken jet skis and dumpsters, not at all as described. Although we were refunded, it certainly ruined our plans for 2 nights and a boat rental on the river. This deception caused us grief. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. The room we booked overlooked dumpsters and broken down jet skis.
