We were excited to take the boat out and the staff was friendly, however their boats are not kept up. Our boat’s speedometer nor fuel gauge worked. There was also a gash in the boat with exposed nails underneath.
RecommendedGreat vacation spot with an amazing view. Staff are very hospitable with great attitudes and personalities. They also welcomed my fur baby as if she was theirs. Very quiet and comfy cottage with easy access to the water as we were able to dock our boat in front of the cottage we were staying in (302) also parking right out back. Definitely would like to come back.
Total SCAMMERS !! DO NOT RENT from them !!! We rented a boat yesterday from castaways and they accused us of denting the propeller... which 100% was there prior to departure. We were a group of knowledgeable boaters and most certainly didn’t hit anything at all. The interesting parts of the scam that guarantee it was a scam was that the guy checking us in within one minute of pulling up and the propeller still in the water said it was damaged, he informed the office we were coming to discuss the matter and by coincidence the... read more
rent the pontoon boat!!! So much fun!!!
Stayed in one of the River Cottages at Castaways for 10 days a couple of weeks ago. Wonderful place to stay. The cottages are old but clean as a whistle and have a screened in front porch. Step out of your cottage and you are about 25 feet from the river. Covered Boat slips are right in front of the cottages. The staff was fantastic with one thing in mind and that is to take of there guest. Amazing place, very clean rooms w beautiful views . Extremely friendly and accommodating staff ! Especially Deborah at the desk !
We had a wonderful day! I highly recommend renting a boat from here! The staff was amazing and the boat was perfect!
