It’s just a great older hotel beautifully decorated with modern and very nice amenities plus the place Andy Griffith was first discovered. Also very reasonable rates at present I assume due to Coronavirus effects on biz. It’s on the edge of UNC-CH campus. GO TARHEELS!!

This charming historic southern hotel is comfortable, beautiful, serves great food, and is close to everything at UNC and the center of Chapel Hill. It is a treat to stay here!

I wish I could say something between yes and no. Beautiful place, excellent service. But our previous experience here for afternoon tea was much different. We had 2 courses of savories, scones were refilled and 2 desserts (one was mainly fruit). So quite disappointed that the quantity of food was significantly less. Bummer!

Breakfast heaven! I have never had a more wonderful meal. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The whole experience was relaxing and enjoyable. The room was very clean and comfortable.
