Go at least 2x year..second year in a row for lunch during Penguin Parade..since I was delayed getting to work due to street blockage..Cajun shrimp soup and house salad..been on menu for 30 years.

Lunch yesterday was a mixed bag. The front of the house service was excellent. The meal, less so. The server was very specific asking how I wanted my steak, which I said rare. It arrived medium. The mashed potatoes had significant full slices of potatoes to the point that I would not have called them mashed, although taste was fine. The carrots were butter soaked and under seasoned. The Carlton is one of Pittsburgh best restaurants of all time! Classy, service and atmosphere is great! Food is prepared and taste so well! They even have a limo to take you where you need to go; like the theatre and pick you up too! They will even wrap and hold your leftovers for when you get back and also have a dessert or a drink to extend the night some more! They really do know how to treat their customers with class!

Awesome! Lobster, crab gnocchi are fantastic! Ask for Michael - best waiter ever. You will never be disappointed. Everything on the menu is amazing....
