Business Lunches I frequently take my clients, when visiting, to Brass Rail which provides a great atomsophere for more formal lunches. The decor is more sophisticated than most Hoboken establishments, and the menu is more palitable than most typical beer/wings or Italian fares. In all, the food is great and the service is friendly and not overbearing.

Brass Rail Restaurant The atmosphere is nice ... not too stuffy or pretentious. The food is pretty good ... I highly recommend their brunch as the food was excellant. This is a very nice place to go for just a casual lunch or dinner.

Excellent food. A little pricey, even by Hoboken standards, but great if you're looking for something a little bit different. The bar downstairs, where you can also eat, is noisy but colorful. Upstairs is relaxed and elegant. Unusual renderings of beef and fish dishes are very good.

Wonderful Service and Tasty Dinner – The steak and mussels are delicious. I would recommend eating in the upstairs dining room which is tastefully decorated and suitable for a intimate meal or getting together with family and friends. The wait staff are professional and knowledgeable in what they serve so it's worth asking them questions.

Disappointing – Deemed Hoboken's "Fine dining" experience, I was excited to visit The Brass Rail. However, poor value and poor service will keep me from ever visiting again. First, the host and wait staff were short and rude with us. Perhaps because we didn't look like some of the other diners(loaded with money!) Second, the food was decent, but not memorable. I would recommend the mojitos, however, down on Sinatra, there's a place that has mojitos that are twice as good. If you want fine dining, I'd definitely recommend Ama... read more

Great for a Dinner Party – I recently had a dinner party here for 22 guest and they had an AWESOME price fixe menu. It's definitely the best deal around. Our table was fixed nice, service was good and all my guests were very pleased especially the birthday girl. But just note that the bathrooms could use some fixing and the steps leading upstairs are winding, steep and narrow.

The (Tarnished) Brass Rail. – I have lived in Hoboken for 10 years and the last time I dined at the Brass Rail will be exactly that, the last time I dine at the Brass Rail. I have eaten there many times before, but since new management has taken over, the restaurant on 2nd and Washington has lost its charm. Management has not only lost there personable character, but the food has also lost its flavor. There are too many restaurants in Hoboken for me to waste any more of my time and money at a place like the Brass Rail.
