I love the food and the service I receive at the Boathouse restaurant on Lake Wallenpaupack.
The Burgers were absolutely amazing & we throughly enjoy the whole dining experience. Would have loved dessert but the juicy burgers filled us up. Will definitely come again when we are in the area.
Overall it was nice. Good atmosphere, nice people and the food was pretty good. However, it took a while for our food to come for a table for 7 but you do get dinner rolls and zucchini bread. My 6 year old was last to get his food (we all had our food and he had to wait additional minutes for her to return with his) which I wasn't happy with. The Boathouse gets a 5 out of 5 stars in my book. When you walk in the door you get the feeling that you're actually in a real boat when you see the windows with the arches that look like beams, or ridges from a real boat. You're greeted immediately by a friendly courteous Hostess who seeks you right away. The Mussels and Pork Brisket was terrible. The food did not seem fresh. The place is overrated and I would never go back. I should have complained but paid the check and left.
