The Bitter End

4.4

About this business

Founded in 1961, the Bitter End is New York's oldest rock club. There is no food served here, so you do not have to worry about the sounds of tinkling glasses and quaking crockery distracting the likes of Stevie Wonder, Neil Diamond and Bob Dylan. Over the years, a number of big name comedians have performed here as well, including Woody Allen, George Carlin and Joan Rivers. A brick wall forms the backdrop for all these acts, including many you may not have heard about.

Really good venue and environment but it's hard to enjoy live music with chairs and tables in front of the stage

Very disappointed that the Show of Angelina Alexon is cancelled because of the unorganized staff and the attitude that give to artists at this place. Only reason I was going there was for her.

Business response:

It's a shame that the person really responsible for the problems were part of her staff.

I was planning to go with my daughter and her friends to this club to see the show of Angelina Alexon performing LIVE but we got informed that the club cancelled it? The club is surviving from the acts and certainly not the reputation that the club has held at one point.

Business response:

We are sorry you feel that way but her management was to blame for the cancelation not the club.

Haven't been there recently, but it sounds like CBGB's that no longer exists. It give people a chance to show their talent.

They treat musicians like garbage, lucky for them there's an endless supply of rich kids that want to book their first NYC show, but I doubt many stick around as loyal patrons.
