When I walked into the basement and heard that "Bad bitches of the 90s" was the playlist playing I knew I was were I was suppose to be🏼 Side note: the staff is the best in town and the food is always fire. Easily my favorite bar in Chattanooga.
The Bitter Alibi is the only spot in Chattanooga where I feel like I belong. There’s no Sports Bar vibe here — it’s a hipster place that’s also somehow not hipster at all, because it has an accepting and non-threatening atmosphere. I dunno, that’s just my potentially ultra-weird and revealing take on it. But ya
Went here before the Joe Bonomassa concert and had a brew with Poblano cheese dip. The atmosphere is vey laid back and comfortable. I will be visiting again.
We’re vegan and love craft beer. We are very satisfied every time we hit up Bitter. Once, we even called in a to-go order while attending an outdoor music event a block away. Tofu Lettuce Wraps and the Basement Bowl (curried chickpeas) are favorites.
I love this this spot! The basement is a special place. Mary and Tim made us feel special and at home. I also love there is delicious vegetarian selections for my wife and friend.
