It hurts to say this since I know the old owner, but since the new owners have come here it's been terrible, the beach that used to be the best beach in Mackinaw for years Is now absolutely disgusting, they don't clean the cabins nearly as well as they should, and they can't keep the reservations straight!!
The Beach House appears to be a nice place...appears! We unfortunately had a cottage which had an odor, noisy from highway traffic, and the beach was not clean! Only a couple benches, no bonfires! Wifi was terrible, TV worse! Management requires full upfront payment on check in! So you are locked in because there are no other cottages available at this resort! So we made it the best we could with our own cleaning supplies, candles, bedding, rugs and a fan! Location was convenient and we kept busy site seeing! NO! I would not... read more
New owners and they will NOT honor your price quoted and or pre paid. No communication stating there was a new owner and price hike. Also, no hot water on Saturday due to an issue. Plenty of other places to stay with better amenities. Won't be back.
Very cozy! And the staff is friendly and accommodating, wonderful experience for my family. Our one and a half year old had a ball for her first mackinaw experience! We enjoyed this so much better than the average hotel :-)
If your looking for a quaint little getaway location with your own little cottage away from loud neighbors and the normal hotel, this is the place for you. The beach front is very clean and you can see Mackinac Island and Big Mac from the many benches/swings. They also have nightly campfires for everyone who wants to join.The Wifi is great and the swimming pool comes in handy if the weather is poor. I'm so happy I made this place my home for my vacation. Was exactly what I was looking for! Thanks Maxine.
Maxine and Russ are great hosts. I love that this is privately owned and operated! Russ makes great muffins!!
I love this place. Great beach, nice cottages and family friendly atmosphere. Meet new friends at the bonfire every night. Can't wait to go back!!!!
One of the best spots to stay cabins are cozy, beach is the best,and the view is breath taking!
