I had to check out TBF after all the reviews I have read about and I consider myself to be a foodie. The service was great, I want to put that out there but the food didn't meet expectations. I understand they are farm-to-table but when you ask what they are known for and you are told vegetables, that isn't impressive. I can cook vegetables from the farmers market way better than how they tasted at TBF. We had the asparagus, no flavor, we had the cheese toast, I love the concept but again no flavor and could come up with som... read more

Their Cafe is worth the walk (about 15 minutes for me). Their staff is always helpful and courteous and the coffee is delicious, always arrives at the perfect drinkable temperature, and is lovingly prepared. If you've never tried an almond milk latte, you should get one here; it's like someone melted a toasted marshmallow into your latte. Yum.

If it were possible to give zero stars I would. One of the worst meals we have had anywhere. Overpriced, pretentious, slow service. How can you screw up something so simple as wild rice?? The first salad had too much oil, literally dripping. The second salad was 11 for 4 pieces of lettuce. The cheese toast appetizer- $18 for cottage cheese, 4 pieces of watercress...a tablespoon of honey...and burned toast that was hard to chew. The duck breast was way overcooked. The wild rice was greasy and salty. The wait for the entree wa... read more

Earlier this month, my sister and I came to celebrate my birthday. The food, the service - everything - was phenomenal. It was a perfect evening. Thank you so much!

This place is an experience more than a restaurant. The daily menu on the night we dined was phenomenal. The fresh cow milk toast course was our favorite with a complex and dynamic flavor that won't soon be forgotten. Kudos to Ryan, our server, who made every dish sound amazing but helped us to find the perfect selection every time. If you enjoy bourbon and are looking for some spice, order the Dobbs.

Seriously one of the best meals I've ever eaten in the Twin Cities, and to add to it, our server was excellent! Highly recommend.

The food was good at your new cafe. I enjoyed the egg toast and smoked potato soup, however, my soup container was barely half full. And, while i was warned that the sandwich was open-faced, I was a little bummed for what i got for $11 at lunch.
