Allan House is so charming! I was married at the Allan House this summer and had such a great experience! The ladies there were quick to answer all my emails and questions. They let you choose all your vendors but also gave helpful recommendations. I did a lot of research before choosing my reception venue, and Allan House was the best bargain. RecommendedI would give The Allan House 4.5 stars. It is a beautiful venue in downtown Austin. Parking is easy for a smaller wedding. The outdoor courtyard and beautiful overhanging tree is beautiful for a wedding. There is a bridal suite on the main floor, and a groom's suite in the basement. 1/4 star knocked off because the bridal suite was not the best for makeup application. Don't get me wrong, The Allan House is gorgeous! But unfortunately, due to COVID-19 and both my and my partners job loss because of it, we had to cancel our wedding. Several of our guests have also lost their jobs, and would not be able attend the wedding also. However, even through an international pandemic, we are not able to get a refund of our deposit from the venue (even though we cancelled several months ahead of the wedding). Beautiful facility. I’ve attended for weddings and UT events and the ambiance is perfect for either style of event. Great staff.
