Absolutely stunning artwork throughout this hotel. It's really pretty and artfully done, from the gorgeous colored glass to the signature scent. The room was just as nice, though our view was of the parking garage. But they are nicely done, very clean and quiet. The service was fantastic in the bar. The desk staff was decent, but we didn't require much. The only cons: Parking was costly. The selection of snacks in the little shop was weird and looked forgotten. The rooms are great hotel atmospheres awesome, staff very nice food great had friends and family come in from out of town. For daughter's wedding, a great venue for a pre. Wedding party.
The Alex is an amazing hotel. The staff is wonderful, the room was very very nice. The parking garage (of you do you use valet) has a walk way that takes you to where you check in. We were on a road trip so we only stopped for the night. We had a nice walk to the restaurants so we could see part of the city. Oh, it is easy to get to and from the highway to continue our journey.
This was a great stop off to break up a drive. The location is conveniently across from a CVS if you need any essentials, and there's plenty to walk to if you decide to indulge in food or drink outside the hotel. My only gripe was that they only have Tesla destination chargers (NACS chargers) and not any CCS chargers for those who don't drive a Tesla. First Marriott owned property I've come across this issue, so it kind of caught me by surprise. Other than that, check out the art and the decorative lighting.
