This building is beautiful and the location is perfect! We love Detroit and The Albert!
Constant noise, shoddy construction and overpriced living makes for a bad combination! The windows on the alley side may as well be sound amplifiers considering how well they transmit construction sounds into the apartment. But if you like the sound of rolling dumpsters and moving metal plates at 5:30am, this could be for you! It is every morning so at least you won't need an alarm. I had the worst experience I've ever had with trying to lease an apartment here. First of all: they don't have a clear pet policy and then will charge you for "anything that is living and occupies space in the apartment unless it is a fish." This means a caged rabbit, hamster, or guniea pig. Second, they don't respond to emails, I had to call the property manager in order to get a leasing specialist to return my multiple voicemails, emails, and phone calls.
