About this business

The 5 Point Cafe is a neighborhood dive bar and restaurant that offers sumptuous American comfort food, including roast beef sandwich, Cuban marinated pulled pork sandwich, burgers and homemade chili soup. This popular cafe is open day and night and is acclaimed as one of the best dive bars in the city due to its inexpensive prices and down-to-Earth atmosphere. I've been here a couple times, it's good food and it's 24hr. But the service....A lot of the staff is rude and never attentive.

I was in town for a job interview and randomly stumbled upon this little gold mine. I could tell from a block away this was my kind of place. The staff was wonderful, and very welcoming for an outsider like myself. Some friends were made, and I plan on making this my local watering hole. Keep up the good work guys!

We were only in Seattle for a short time, but after eating here the first night we decided that this would be our place for the whole trip! The food was fantastic -- the best mushroom soup I have ever tasted! The staff was amazingly friendly and helped me pick out local beers to pair with my meals. Great music and atmosphere too.

We visited Seattle for a weekend, found 5 Point and ate there twice in one day. The only reason we didn't go back is that we left town. The Crab Cake Benedict was amazing. The waiters were fun and efficient even though the cafe was extremely busy. Loved it. Will be back next time we're in the city.

5 Point has gone down hill. It's just a tourist trap now, as much as they profess that to not be the case. If you have fond memories of this being a cool, counter-culture dive bar, then don't go back. I used to eat here about once every six weeks in 2008-09, and I loved it. I took my wife tonight and was embarrassed. The service was terrible, the food seemed phoned-in, and the prices were nearly double what I remember. After reading other reviews, it sounds like the only people who are impressed with it any more are tourists... read more
