i'm old time seattle and remember the dog house, tropicana, 211 club and all.... love me some biscuits and gravy at 4am going into work. don't mind a little friendly banter and some 60 db nine inch or stones or whatever. part of the thing. but the other morning that waitress and cleaning guy would NOT shut the hell up. jeezus effing christ if i want non stop chatter at that hour of the morning i'll stay at home and have breakfast with my wife.

We came to Seattle from the southeast and I was looking forward to re-visiting this establishment. I visited here and had such a good experience 10 years ago. This time, they would not seat us outside like we wanted, said it was closed...in the next 10 minutes there several tables seated OUTSIDE. As we were leaving we attempted to purchase some of their cheesy memorabilia and were totally ignored at their counter so we eventually just left. I don't recommend this place.

I used to go here a lot back in the day...i went to go check it out recently after Bumbershoot this year. I was going to eat dinner but as soon as i walked into the place i seen a bunch of disgusting people hanging out in the place. I used the bathroom and then split. Not my scene anymore. I might come back during the early morning to check out the basic breakfast...that looks good!

Dont let the outside scare you off at night. The atmosphere is dark but once you sit down the bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable and make a great drink. It's the kind of place you can be anonymous or strike up a conversation with someone. Definitely would have passed this place by if our hotel desk clerk hadn't recommended it.
