Horrible Service and Make sure you are a BIG Tipper OH HUSH HUSH on your Conversation, Eaves dropping is a waiter's job description here. – The waiters and managers are not there to serve you. They are too busy listening to your conversations and criticize you for how much you tip them. My girl friends and I were excited to go to dinner at Thalia tonight. We were there for a while and had many different conversations. The service was fine and the food was good. Then the check came, yes it was expensive but we expected that. ... read more

great food, great service, great atmosphere – I would say I don't understand some of these reviews if I didn't have my own experiences serving tourists, as well as clueless members of the pre-theatre crowd. Leave it to people who don't know how to behave in a restaurant, who are rude and demanding and don't tip, to be the first to criticize. They should stick to Burger King and leave the real establishments to others

DO NOT GO TO THALIAS – DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! My wife and I decided to try this restaurant after a suggestion from a bartender. The place seemed really romantic from the outside and inside; However. The hostess seemed angry that we had asked her for a table and offered us no greeting. When we sat down, we ordered two cocktails that tasted absolutly horrible. Our waitress was extremely rude to us, and actually charged us for the cocktails that we didn't drink. When we spoke to a manger about the situation, they didn't care that ... read more

Horrible service but good food – I made an online reservation & the rude hostess said they didn't have and didn't offer any apologies, a couple who walked in front of me got seated right away w/no reservation (i later found out)..I had to ask how long of a wait, finally i gave up & we went to eat at the bar - still no love from the bartender, the customer next to us had to wave her wine glass in the air till finally some manager type who was sitting near the bar got up and helped her & then us - the bartender never offer us ... read more

Rachel Ray wins! – This is Rachel Rays restaurant correct? Well, she has done a fabulous job. Although, the service was slow, the drinks and apps were amazing. I went with a friend one night for a drink and had a great time. The seating (cushy couches) was very comfortable. It was cold outside and the seasonal cocktails fit the weather perfectly. We ordered calamari was cooked perfectly. Great, fun, after work or romantic restaurant. Great for drinks and apps or a dinner! I hear brunch is great as well, although I have never... read more

LIKE THE AMBIANCE – I live across the street from Thalia. I've been here a BUNCH of times over the past 5 years BUT only b/c it is across the street. The service is CONSISTENTLY awful ... I was just there for dinner a few nights ago & our waitress was a complete joke ~ no personality and actually, quite testy. The food is just OK ... some dishes are quite bland. The oysters are amazing, the tartares are pretty good .. the mushroom polenta is probably the best thing on the menu. I return there b/c it's convenient and I like t... read more

Run, don't walk! A MUST! – FANTASTIC. The perfect combination of food, service and atmosphere. After hearing rave reviews from several of my friends and coworkers I decided to find out what the buzz was all about. We went there for dinner before a Broadway show. Even though the restaurant was completely packed the food came out fast and the service was very attentive. The food was incredible- now I know what all my colleagues were talking about. My complements to the chef for the Diver Sea Scallops and the Lamb-the beet riso... read more
