Great Atmosphere, Mediocre Menu – All of the greatness of this place lies in its ambiance; great lighting, chic decor, classy yet unpretentious atmosphere. The service was also very attentive and the seating prompt. However, you'd never come here for the food. Though the food itself was great, the menu selection is pretty mediocre and limited. Nothing on the menu really jumped out at me, which isn't a great thing when you're paying $20+ for an entree with no side. So, come here for the great atmosphere, for a nice place to l... read more

Great seafood, Reasonable Prices – Great food. Everyone in our party of six enjoyed their meal. The prices were quite reasonable for NYC. The only negative was that the bathroom wasn't very clean

Good food, but super slow – I had to go here for a lunch meeting and the food was good, but the service was pretty bad. They were acting like they were really busy, but in fact, the restaurant was nearly empty. Since we only saw our waiter about 2 times we had to ask the other wait staff when we needed something. He even took forever to take the check. So, the food is good, but the service is slow!

Nice Decor.. food not that great – My husband and I went for pre-theater dinner. I informed the waitress that we were going to a show and the food came out very quickly. The appetizers were good, my husband had the cream of mushroom soup and I have the mozz & tomato salad. Our entrees were below average. I had the crab cakes, do not recommend. My husband had the strip steak, he hated the way it was seasoned. I would not recommend. Get a slice of pizza at Ray's before your show and go someplace not in Time Sq/ Theather Distri... read more

beautiful space, bar and dining area really nice – Thalia is eye candy both from the street and being on the inside. Towering ceiling throughout, beautiful lighting and a really well designed layout. The menu, some call it new American, I guess that is about right. There are choices on the menu for just about anyone: meat or vege lover. The food is good, but it doesn't impress. It's reasonably priced for the city and the area. We didn't get the WOW we were hoping for. Ordered the side of Thalia fries which we thought might b... read more

WORST SERVICE AT CAFE – I have gone to Thalia cafe every day for the past maybe 5 years - and now every morning a large group of high school kids are in there, and they (the employees) do not pay attention to regular customers and I WILL NEVER STOP IN HERE AGAIN. it is insane and ridiculous and highly unprofessional.

Fantastic - one place that has it all, and does it all well – This place really does have it all.. I live down the street and have done everything from business meetings to a late night with the girls there... the actual restaurant is beautiful but not overdone. things you have to try: the lobster eggs benedict at brunch, the scallops and tiramisu at dinner, and the burger if you are in the lounge area. thalia is a 'must try' in midtown!!

DO NOT GO HERE!!! – This restaurnat was the worst. I went here to celebrate a birthday with 3 of my friends. The food was so so (small portions) and the service was horrible. We had to continually ask for more water and wait FOREVER for our food to come. So when it came time to pay the bill we left a 10% tip. The waiter actually didn't even deserve a tip so we thought 10% was generous since the service was so horrible. The waiter obviously didn't like his tip becasue the manager of the restaurant came over to our table and t... read more
