RecommendedMy family is from Chicagoland and we searched many places in the dfw area after moving down for good hotdogs, gyros, and Italian beef sandwiches and luckily found this great place. The owner and staff are all wonderful and the food is delish! Tex's Star and Grill is about a 20 minute drive for us and we don't mind, it's a lot closer than driving to Chicagoland. Lol

Being from Chicago my husband and I are critical of Chicago food in Texas. I just say this is legit Chicago! Maxwell Street, Chicago dogs, Italian beef, the gyro are all amazing. My son's cheeseburger was even great.

I have driven by and seen this place for years, just never dropped in. Well tonight changed that. I used the drive thru, the attendant was very friendly. I had the gyro, which was one of the best ones I have had, granted I am not from chicago and not greek but I did like it. Lots of meet, sliced onions in the pita. I also had onion rings which were fresh and not very greasy at all. I will be going back to this place and trying other items.
