I visited Dr. Srilatha Alapati, pediatric cardiologist for a follow-up appointment regarding my child’s Holter monitor results. The doctor assumed I did not speak English, explained the heart as if I had no medical knowledge, and suggested I buy a $3 pulse oximeter — clearly assuming I was broke. None of this was relevant to my visit. As a nurse, I expect professionalism and respect, but instead I was stereotyped, dismissed, and left without the information I came for. I've never been so disrespected by a doctor.-*Dr. Contreras The start of the appointment she asked a couple questions and then she asked me if there was anything I wanted to say and as I started to answer she then got up and turned her back on me to do her examination without letting me finish what I had to say. *1st red flag Her apprentices (med students) did a more thorough exam (before the doctor entered) and intake conversation than she herself did. The lady at the front desk name Leslie is rude I called to reschedule my daughters appointment she start asking why which could have been due to personal reasons.
Place is an absolute disgrace! They don’t care about your kids or your situation or what you’re going through. My daughter was referred to Dr. Lunsford in which we waited two months for this appt. a week before her appointment we were called and said oh she can’t see her on that day.?! No Explanation, nothing. They just said “We have to reschedule you for this day”.
