History Established in 1980. Converted out of a local retired bank in historic Carthage, the Texas Tea Room was first established as a community-volunteered kitchen that served sandwiches and salads during lunch hour. Over time, the business grew and needed a full-time staff to accommodate the increased demand from locals, which is what made the Texas Tea Room the popular restaurant it is today.

Great spot . Good food, service and has a place for bigger get togethers.
The Chicken Salad sandwich on Nut Bread was terrific. The bread was so fresh it was still warm. First time. Definitely going back
