I don't get it A local favorite, I can not figure out why. They put eggs on the hamburgers, the chili is more beans than anything else. The place is packed at bar closing time...to drunk to taste the food ? Unless you were weened on this slop stay far away.
Texas Tavern The Texas Tavern is a restaurant that is open 24 hours a day to satisfy anyone's needs at any time. The same men are always working there, so it's a really friendly environment, especially if you go there a lot because they seem to know who you are. The food is also really cheap, you can get a cheesy western and a bowl with for just about $5. A landmark Texas Tavern is as much about the experience as it is about the food. It's definitely a throw-back restaurant. The servers are borderline rude/funny, but that is part of the charm. Relax and enjoy a bowl with, and burger.
classic dive..yummm!! You must go the "TT" when in Roanoke....it's just one of those places you see on tv where you think no way...but then are surprised by the food. Cheesy Western here I come!

The people that was working at that shift were very rude and pushy just made my wife and I are very uncomfortable.
