Personally my favorite place to eat in Roanoke.
Have loved this place forever! Love the Chile and their hot dogs are my favorite over anywhere else.

I have been going to the Texas Tavern since I moved here from NY in 1992!! It’s the best laid back dive I’ve ever been to and has the cheapest eats in the valley!! I can eat 2 bowls of chili with cheese 🧀 on top and 3 sometimes 4 hotdogs with lots of mustard on them in one sitting!! I also have had quite a few cheesy westerns over the years and always put a butterflyed hotdog,bacon 🥓, and chill with extra cheese 🧀 on top !!
Food was great. We got our food in less tgan 5 mins and it was a very good price!!!
I’m 60 years old my dad took me to the tavern when I was a kid they used to call it the millionaire club as a joke. You buy lunch today this week I take you to the millionaire club. This is a Roanoke landmark and I was delighted to eat a bowl of chili last night from a place I will never forget and it was no disappointment it tasted the same as it did in my memories thanks god. For preserving the finer things in life. Memories
