My father is a patient there this afternoon. He has dementia and end-stage renal failure and cannot make medical decisions on his own. A caregiver (in today’s instance, me) is always present as part of his directives. They threatened to forcibly remove me from the hospital campus because I was adamant about my family’s medical orders to be present next to him at dialysis.
