My son was born premature at 35 weeks and had to stay in the NICU for 2 weeks until he was able to eat on his own. Doctors and Nurses and all of the staff were So Amazing! And a Big thank you to the Ronald McDonald House for being there for us through that difficult time! Texas Children's Hospital not only Rocks but is and has been a Blessing to many many families!! =)
The NICU folks at TCH played a huge part in helping our son, who was born at 24 weeks. We cannot thank them enough...
Best team of Doctors and Nurses in Houston. They are top notch when it comes to treating the children as individuals and not as the illnesses they present with. Their care for their patients manifests itself in their concern for the parents/guardians also. GOOD FOLKS, professionals that go the extra mile!
brought my 5 month old with severe eczema to the dermatology department, as a nursing mom I had a gut feeling it was brought on by food allergies. I brought my food diary with me and explained all my concerns. The doctor took one (brief) look at my daughters painful itchy condition and just told me the "atopic dermatitis" speech about lotions, baths, and steroid creams. The doctors at the children's gynecology dept assessed my daughter thoroughly, made diagnosis, prescribed couple of Medications, and said we'll see you back in few weeks to see how this is working. On our follow up appt, we were excited to hear the plan of care was working beautifully and we could say, for the first time since my girl was 3 That she was not experiencing any pain at all.
