We were recommended Teryl Scott for a low-cost option to what was supposed to be an amicable divorce. What a mistake. Our billed meetings consisted of all three of us on separate zoom screens, with my ex and I sitting in awkward resentful silence, watching while Lisa did her research in front of us, scrolling through spreadsheets for 20 minutes. Plus things fell apart when the divorce proved to be anything but amicable. Our money was wasted at this firm and we both ended up going to other lawyers.
I retained this lawyer to assist with an appeal related to parenting time with my children, a serious and time-sensitive matter. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. Her rates were significantly higher than other lawyers I considered, and given that she represented having 25 years of experience, I expected a high level of competence and efficiency.
