I have been a patient of Dr. Chen's for 7 years. She is always professional and courteous
I've been a patient of Dr. Theresa Chen's for approximately nine years. She's the BEST physician I've had! I have recommended her services to a number of my friends. She's respectful, courteous, takes time to answer all your questions and is very knowledgeable. She also answers you messages on Patient Gateway in a timely fashion with the same grace and caring she expresses in an appointment with her.
Dr. Chen has an extensive understanding of glaucoma and always offers a clear and thorough description of the problem, what needs to be done and why. She has a handout for the side affects of the various medications and understands the various treatment options and risks. She makes me feel like I am in good hands with this scary condition and though I may not like what I am facing, trust it is the best choice as she is so experienced. I have had major complications after a failed glaucoma surgery by Dr.Chen. She is difficult to communicate with since she is super defensive and often rushes during my appointment. I went to her because she has such a great reputation but have had and continue to have a terrible experience.

Dr. Chen performed glaucoma surgery on my daughter - 1st eye at 9 wks old, the second at 13 wks. We met with a couple different doctors that specialized in pediatric glaucoma and felt confident Dr. Chen was the right choice. She did extensive observation and tests before recommending a course of treatment and wasn't overly quick to suggest surgery (hence the wait for the second eye), trying first a series of drops, etc. We come from NY to see her. We're thankful for Dr. Chen!
