This place is nearly always packed, and with good reason. This restaurant has been the place for "gringos" to enjoy good Mexican food, good company and potent potables. The stone walls and lack of windows make it a bit cave-like, but the bright orange booths give it a zip of fiesta color and an unpretentious feel. Known for the Green Corn Tamales and Chile Rellenos, it also offers burros, chimichangas and tasty margaritas.

Delicious food, great service- famous restaurant in Phoenix. Had the presidential special- George Bush ate here-enchiladas are soooo good. Check out the autographed pictures on the wall!

The service is good and so are prices. Only disappointment is they don't offer indoor sitting for groups of 5 or more, we had to sit in tables across from each other so unable to socialize with entire party. PS don't order their gigantic chili relleno it's no longer on the menu but you can still order.

My sister would take me there in the 70’s to eat cheese crisps, we just loved it. I just moved back to Phoenix after 40 years, I was Thrilled when my sister took me there for cheese crisps. The food is really good!
