The meat is just perfectly cooked and glazed with home-made BBQ sauce. The place is a take out joint hence not big on space but the walls are adorned with awards that serve testimony to their delicious BBQ.

Real barbecue – One of the few places in the Twin Cities that is worth going to for good bbq. Take out only. Not a huge selection, but most things here are better than anywhere else around. Sad to say, the pork ribs are the worst thing on the menu, and I wouldn't even get them again. But, in order, I will swear by the beef (even if not brisket), the beef ribs, and the chicken (even if pretty dry). This is one of the few places that actually has a little kick to the hot sauce.
Only place for BBQ – Although I've only had the ribs, other have enjoyed the other options on the list. My 3 year old daughter will even eat a half rack of mild ribs!!! They are the best in the cities, or anywhere else for that matter.
THE BEST – The best I've been enjoying these woderful ribs since the late Ted Cook and his wife were the only emplyees. Always a treat!!! I have never been diappointed in all those years, except when they ran out before I got my order. My preference is hot but medium is great.
GREAT BBQ. – THIS IS THE ONLY REAL OPEN PIT BARBEQUE SHOP IN THE TWIN CITIES. THE OTHERS ARE ONLY IMPOSTERS. IT TAKES MORE THAN SAUCE ON MEAT TO BE CALLED BARBEQUE, THIS IS THE REAL DEAL!
Coks is the best BBQ in the cities! – I have dined at almost every resturaunt on this entire list... But let me tell you.. Im a painter in the local Mpls area, and was assghned a house next to Hiawatha .. near Ted Cooks. By accident one day, we decided to try this local, Family looking place down the street. I will never regret it. From now on, whenever im in the citites showing friends around, or visiting various landmarks.. Ted Cooks will be on the list. GREAT FOOD – If you're looking to wine and dine, another would be fine. If you're looking to EAT GREAT BBQ Ted Cook's is the BEST.
One of the best!!! – Cook's Ribs are some of the best in town!! The sauce is awsome and you can get authentic sides such as greens and peach cobbler. I've taken many people from out of town here and they wondered how I ever found such a jewel. This place never gets much attention and it deserves much more!!!!!!
