After almost 6 weeks and 7 service calls, HVAC system still not working — The Tech Guy installed this unit new October 2023. called in another HVAC company and there was recommendation for total system replacement. When the old unit was pulled out there was black mold everywhere from improper installation. had it not been found, serious health and home damage could have occurred,

After almost 6 weeks and 7 service calls, my son's HVAC system is still not working — The Tech Guy installed this unit October 2023. AC went out 7 weeks ago . First visit The Tech Guy, said it was a reversing valve. They installed it, 3 hrs later, unit is blowing hot air not cold. Called them but they never called back. 3 days later they return and state that valve must have been bad and re order. Mind you it should be covered by warranty but wanted over $800 for labor. They put in a new furnace and outside unit about 2 years ago. This winter it froze up, i called him. Instead of telling me to check my filter 1st, he drove 10 minutes and charged me $100 to tell me to change my filter. Furthermore the unit they installed apparently has defects from the factory that can cause it to freeze up. Instead of offering to replace the part for free (which should be done, because he tells us he knows it comes defective from the factory but we will still have to pay his "service fee").
