I went here with my boyfriend and a friend. First off, the staff were great. No complaints about that. My issue is the portion sizes. My boyfriend and his friend ordered the big 'ol burrito bowls, and they expected them to be big. Their dishes were smaller than my macaroni and cheese dish. Also, the drinks are outrageously expensive for a mixed drink, and a $5 piece of chocolate torte was the smallest cake serving I've ever gotten. Not sure if I'd go back again. I've been here multiple times (my friends seem to want to try it randomly) and the service is so slow! Every time I have been here, it takes at least 15 mins for a drink order and another 20 mins for a food order. The food normally takes another 40 mins for it to arrive so plan to be there for at least 2 hours (receiving the check takes a while too). This problem is not because of the waitstaff though. Not only a great bar and date night spot but also very family friendly! The veggie "apps" for the kids were perfect! Our server Kaila was awesome but I'm partial to Kailas. Great food, great service, friendly staff and patrons, made for s nice family night out. Thank you!
The maple glazed salmon topped with peaches and rosemary was excellent. Thanks for offering such extraordinary menu options! Nice to have a new go to place in Duluth.

I posted a warning to my Facebook friends about the dangers of drinking at the "Tavern on the hill" they're supporting me with a boycott and spreading the word.
My new favorite place - plenty of menu options, friendly staff, and excellent food. I suggest the Grecian Tacos or the Velvet Elvis, and definitely try the marinated cukes!
