Nice menu! Great atmosphere! Only problem was cold coffee which was quickly corrected.
History and ambiance you can’t beat, however the Thanksgiving pre-set menue left allot to be desired. Typical to not expect much from large volume business, but you could at least serve hot food. Disappointed. Would only go back to enjoy the beautiful bar and a cocktail!
Fabulous patio outside with weather permitting. Great place for dinks after a walk in the park!
El lugar es hermoso, y bien atendido dentro del restaurante. Afuera la atención, actualmente, no es muy buena; tienen una empleada pretenciosa. Típica come pan que eructa pollo; nos quiso mirar de arriba. Pobrecita. Jazz en vivo, ambiente climatizado, buen producto. Ideal para terminar un paseo por la tarde en Central Park.
This was a first time at the Tavern. The atmosphere is wonderful. Not a lot of noise level. We were seated actually before our reservation time. Food was good... but I have to say the management went far above what we expected. We had a party of 9 ... one of the dinners didn’t come out with the rest of the party... it was at the latest 5 minutes late. We were gracious as the staff apologized for the delay. Definitely a must do in NYC. A tried and true establishment since the late 1800s, with a few changes of hands without the loss of any grandeur.
Such a fun & beautiful iconic New York place of luxury- yet they allowed us to come in casual Clothes and w/o a reservation... #tavernonthegreenwasdelicious #thankyou
Cold expensive food. Beautiful architecture. Meet for a drink and eat somewhere else.
