Great Beer List. – With the exception of a long beer list, this place is mediocre. Serviced by young folks, who sometimes lack professionalism. Good place for drinks, but I would go somewhere else for dinner.
If you want beer... The food is satisfactory nothing special, food isn't their specialty, service was ok. BUT if you want a good beer they'll have it. The beer and bar food is what to go for.
Great beer selection, stubborn managers – We love going to Tap House because it has a big selection of our favorite, hard to find beers. The food is good and the servers are friendly. The bar area is cozy and loungy next to the fireplace, but for some reason or another, the manager refused to turn down the background music in the restaurant, or turn the volume up higher on the t.v.'s during the superbowl. It was pretty distracting with the overhead music in the background, and especially annoying because there was only one c... read more
Go to the Downtown Seattle Taphouse instead – Our waitress was very snobby....avoided our table and the food came out late and lukewarm. We had several appetizers, none of which were anything worth the price. Avoid the goat cheese volcano...it's very bland. I had a salmon pasta which was pretty good.... Good selection of beers....I would go to the Seattle Tap House instead...they have much better service & the same selection of beer. :)
Cheap happy hour and 160 beers on tap! How can you go wrong? – I don't recommend eating dinner here, it's expensive and the food isn't as good as you get at other places nearby. But the happy hour food is very cheap and compliments the beer nicely. I love to meet friends there for happy hour. On a nice warm day, sit outside, get a pile of food and order the bartenders sampler of beer. You can't go wrong.
Side order of Dandruff anyone? – Was in there the other day with my girlfriend. Service was very slow. The kitchen completely made our food wrong, not to mention that it was cold. We wandered around trying to find someone to get help from Finally, we saw who I understand is the owner. He comes over to the table. He seemed super arrogant and self-important (I don't know why , since this isn't exactly a good restaurant), but whatever. I just wanted my food fixed 'cause I was starving! But, when this guy bent to talk to me, I s... read more
great beer, worst food ever – I brought my girlfriend for a light dinner and some drinks. The dining room is not desighned for comfort or quiet the loadest place i have ever been. the beer flights were good and it is a good place for college kids to go and drink but the food could be matched by going to safeway and getting a can of alpo. i think the alpo would probably make you feel less sick.
Avoid eating here! – Three of us dined at Tap House grill on May 27th. My husband and I ordered from the "specials" list - chile rellenos and the house salad, while my son had a chicken sandwich. The sandwich was fine. The salad was basically none too fresh iceberg lettuce and some cucumber. The chile rellenos arrived and was lukewarm at best. After a bite, we told the waitress. She apologized and said it would be taken care of. A few minutes later, another server brought out the same rellenos (each missing a bite) after hav... read more
This place is perfect – This place is cool. My Haberdasher, Jeff Collins, introduced me to it last year by taking me to lunch. They have great food and the staff is very friendly. I took my company there for a social gathering in their semi-private dining area and everyone loved it. They put on a really good buffet, took great care of us and I was amazed at the price. I'm looking forward to the Seattle location opening up soon so I can go to lunch there. I guess it's going to be at the old Planet Hollywood.
