Celebrated my birthday at TAO Downtown on Saturday night with a party of 6. We had a 7:45 reservation and were seated right away. The food and service was excellent. I loved the special Asian birthday dessert served in a little canoe shaped plate.
RecommendedFood was excellent. We had 2 drinks each 1 of mine was a Johnny black straight i was very suprised to receive a 1oz shot which I only know because I'm a restaurant bar owner and bartend time to time

This was my first time having dinner here and i must say it was amazing! Delicious food, great service, beautiful decor. Cant wait to come back.

The aesthetics externally & internally were so Romantic. The portions were small but the service was speedy, friendly as well as professional. I will certainly be back.
Tao is a must whenever we are in New York (we are from Copenhagen). We have been there both with friends and our two children (6 and 11) on separate occasions and we have never been disappointed. Fantastic service and fantastic food/drinks �
