amazing food – This is some of the best food I have had. They have the best eggrolls in the world. It is a really hidden find. I haven't had anything that I did not like. Friendly and helpful staff and everything is a great price. Check it out!

Worst dining experience – As a Vienamese person who loves his culture and cuisine, I am sadden to see this place rated by staff members of Citysearch as being the best. The food is of poor quality and not authentic. What is worst is how the owners treat and talk to there staff. I can understand them when they yell at the workers in foul / slang language. The patrons of this place then support this behavior. They reinforce it with the owners and citysearch also is part of that. Please go else where for good vietnamese food, a... read more

Tamarind Tree operate like Wal-Mart – maximizing its bottom LINE at the expense of its EMPLOYEES and CUSTOMER SERVICE. It's true what the reviewer posted on 9/15 said about Tamarind Tree owners. Tam and his sister do mistreat their staff. I would NOT patronize a place where the owners take advantage of their employees. Here is an example, the cook screwed up your meal in the kitchen. Instead of taking it as loss of doing business, Tam and his sister take it out of the WAITER'S CHECK. I believe that what Tam and his sister ar... read more

Unprofessional, Below Average, Pretentious – It's absurd to give this place any reviews higher than Below Average. First, the unprofessionalism of the wait staff was laughable. The place may look nice, but the service is Chinatown service. However, you can't blame the wait staff for being so high strung and rushing, because the owner talks to them like they were slave. I am a vietnamese patron, and I overheard the manager telling the server that she had to pay for the dish that my girlfriend didn't eat because her chicken wa... read more

Some good some ok – My friends were raving about this place, so I went to dinner there the other night. The atmosphere is nice, light dimmed, candles...It looked like a nice place compared to all the resturants in the ID district! I had the braised fish, which came out in a tiny little hotpot and was 70% smaller than I thought it would have been. It was good but wasn't anything to rave about. I also sampled a tamarind martini, which I wasn't too impressed with. The Lemongrass martini was better. The reason why I gave this pl... read more

waste of hard working money. – The food was retively cheap but there was no quality in the food. Our server was very unprofessional, she complaint to us about the owner (we were there to enjoy our evening). Trying to be upscale Vietnamese restaurant in town. The ambience was not as fancy as everyone said. The retaurant was in a scary neighborhood (I don't recommend to go there after dark).

Food is okay, ambiance keeps me coming back. – This place is hidden in a corner of the Viet Hoa plaza. The food is typical vietnamese. Pho, rice plates, fried egg rolls, and spring rolls. They do offer a cool 7 course beef meal for 2 people at only $18. Can't beat that and it's worth at least one try. So if you try it, bring a big appetite. The ambiance is what keeps us coming back. It's decorated very trendy and has a cool firepit. If you sit at one of the tables that flank the firepit, beware as it gets really hot and your... read more

Great food, Friendly service and Nice decor – Tamarind tree is hidden in the back of a rather funky parking lot in the International District. This helps to keep it slightly secret. Once you make it in the door, you'll be suprised at what a beautiful place it is. Drinks are carefully crafted and include things like Ginger Cosmopolitans, Lemongrass Martinis and Tam's Mojito. Food is delicious, although I woudn't be sure that it was "authentic" Vietnamese, that's not important because the flavors are wonderful. I recommend the... read more

Seattle loves this sleek Little Saigon hideaway for its authentic Vietnamese food at wallet-friendly prices. – The Scene Vibrant orange walls and stone tables around a central fireplace set the comfortable-yet-stylish mood at this affordable gem hidden in the back corner of the Viet Wah strip mall in Little Saigon. Like the decor, food presentation is attractive: crisp dishes neatly arranged on square earthenware. Outside, the heated patio boasts a waterfall. A casually dressed, mixed young and old crowd packs the small wait... read more
