I had my autism evaluation here and have gone back and forth on leaving a review. I don't like leaving low reviews, but, considering how much this experience has stayed with me, I thought it important enough to say something. This service provider did not seem prepared to assess adults, nor did she seem to take into account cultural differences (like parents who were in no way able to address social or sensory issues with a child when they were just trying to survive each day). Dr. Hooper removed my previous negative review. She did not give me an assessment that was appropriate for my age or abilities. Her evaluation report had errors ranging from simple (my age, the date the assessment was given) to full-on inaccuracies about my life and experiences, including making assumptions about my feelings and emotions and listing these assumptions as facts. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for assessment services.
Dr. Hooper is extraordinary! She has a genuine ability to connect with individuals and feel as though they are seen and heard. She truly cares about people and it shows in the profession she has chosen. I look forward to seeing what Dr. Hooper can accomplish as she continues to use her gifts to help others find their value and truth!
