My sis-in-law & myself are on a Thelma & Louise holiday all the way from Ireland. One of the stops on our wish list was Nags Head. What an adventure - we swam in the ocean waves, saw a wedding, had a picnic a walk on Jennettes pier and just when we thought the day couldnt get any better we strolled into Tale of the Whale. The food and service were great. The hostess , an older woman in her late 70's was rude. Eaten there many times in the past, Wilł never return. By the way spent $140 which was well worth the food and waitress service but the hostess was terrible
We drove all the way from Newport News just for dinner. It was our first time eating there. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff was vey friendly & the food was delicious. Will definitely be going back.

First time eating at Tale of the Whale. The seafood was fresh and delicious. Even the chicken strip kids meal was real chicken. The service was great too. Would highly recommend.

Farrah was our server, she made the evening so special. We had a party of 11, everything went perfect! Thank you so much! Oh, and of course the food was amazing!!
I had the seafood combo platter it as generous portions. I couldn't even finish everything. My husband had the stuffed flounder and loves it and couldn't even finish it. We love the atmosphere, location, and service. We were in and out in 40 min from start to finish. And we were lucky to have the early bird special and have 20%! We even had complimentary champagne for our anniversary! We will definitely be back!
