Excellent! We dine here every trip to the Outer Banks.
One of our favorite places to eat on the outer banks!
The entire experience was excellent. From our waitress (Fara) to the service and the food, everything was exceptional. Pasta, steak, and seafood, there is no bad choice is here. We've been coming to the Outer Banks for 30 years and this is far and away one our most favorite places to dine.
Service was excellent,food was delicious, abundant portions, and everything had great flavor. Every staff member that we encountered took pride in their job and it definitely showed. Thank you!
We have made it a point to go to Tale of the Whale every year for 16 years of coming to the OBX. We went yesterday and we're told it would be a 40-45 minute wait. It actually ended up longer, but leave it up to the fantastic people at TOW to make it right. We had an excellent dinner and we're surprised with a discount on our tab. The owners came over and said they wanted to make things right.....love, Tale of the Whale!
Awesome food! Had to wait, but it was well worth it! Our waitress was more than excellent! She was awesome! Thanks Missy you sure took great care of us!

Great service, great menu of seafood and steaks. Only unfortunate things were the overcooked green bean side (you literally have no other choice) and the dreamsicle cocktail that tastes like watered down skim milk
