Glad I decided to call them I was a little nervous when I saw the few negative reviews, but I decided to meet with Kirk and decide for myself. I'm glad I did. They handled a variety of misc. wiring issues in our "new" 1928 house. Kirk took the time to explain to me the ins and outs of how the electrical works in our house, and kept the final price within a few bucks of the original quote. They were efficient, professional, and I'd definitely hire them again.
Excellent electrical contractor!!! I have employed Talbott Electric over the past 35 years for jobs ranging from complete reconstruction and new construction to changing a wall plug. In every instance Kirk Talbott and his employees have gone beyond the call of duty and the contract! They are highly knowledgeable and experienced. Clean and polite, they leave the worksite in better shape than when they arrived, every time. I would recommend Kirk and Talbott Electric to anyone for any sized job. They really are terrific!!

Talbott Electric Inc is a world class business! Talbott Electric Inc. has been in business for city of Pasadena since 1924. They offer excellent service at reasonable rates. Estimates are free and they are very flexible with scheduling appointments. The shop is located on 1887 E. Washington Blvd just off of Allen Ave. All of their employees are very kind and helpful. Talbott Electric Incorporated is honest and extremely ethical! After reading all the negative reviews, I was somewhat hesitant to call Talbott Electric but remembered that they had been business since like 1926 or 27 and figured I should at least ask for an estimate on the job. Talbot Electric Pasadena Ca I live in San Marino. I have used Talbot Electric on a few occasions over the years, but the last two were the final. I will never use them again but the bottom line needs to be told. They now have no ethics nor concerns for the community. In time of need, you, are, no one. Way over priced Estimates seem to be based on an $80 per hour fee. When our job was bid I was told it was a 4-hour 2 person job. The job took 2 hours, though the 4-hour price was billed, and emphatically insisted upon. The signed estimate did not refer to hours only work to be completed even though we discussed explicitly how many hours needed to complete the job, and the price per hour. The work was done professionally, but outrageously over priced.
Stay away High hourly rates, electrician's "assistant" is mandatory regardless of whether or not he is needed, 100% plus mark up on all materials, will not acknowledge mistakes or errors, regardless of the facts, will bill you to correct their mistakes, would rather lose a client than an argument, plus the apparent owner, Kirk Talbot, is arrogant and a shameless gouger on any opportunity to get more money from you.
Avoid I hired this company twice with satisfactory results.
