Dinner at Talavera was great — the food was well prepared, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the overall experience was enjoyable. That said, the complimentary tortillas could be improved. They lacked flavor and would benefit from being served with something fresher, like a small guacamole, rather than oily salsas. A small adjustment like that would elevate an otherwise very good dining experience.

Jose our server was amazing, food was top notch, we got the shortrib to share and it was nothing short of amazing! It will feed 2-3 people easily especially if you have a couple appetizers.

Very disappointing experience. They were out of most of the dishes we ordered: out of the octopus dish, out of the carnitas. In addition, we wanted the mole especial but they did not have it with chicken (which is what it is offered with). Instead, they agreed to make the mole coloradito with chicken. But they brought the dish with beef instead of chicken. I returned this dish because it was for my dad and he does not eat beef. Very disappointing experience. Jose was an amazing server! Very attentive and helpful. The food was also delicious
