Well honestly I thought the food was tastly. The Poblano sauce and the Chipotle sause were pretty good. I won't say the best but pretty good. The biggest problem was the service. They got my order wrong but at least the waitress corrected it. She was a little in a rush to take the order and I felt that. I will say she was patient with us as we had alot of questions since it was our first time. My wife and I waited what seemed like a pretty long time for the check. The only thing ...they need more space ...is always crowded...but everything is delicious!!
The food is okay, little salty. I don’t think I would come back the service was very bad. The wait an hour I went on a Sunday morning. Definitely not a place I would come back. Give it a try maybe you would like it, some friends like it. Not my Mexican taste that I would prefer and the customer service that I like such as checking on you, never happen !!!
The breakfast at Talavera Azul is excellent. I ordered the combo plate, omelette La Espadana with the green chilaquiles, refried beans (with chorizo) and cottage potatoes. You need their cinnamon café de la olla with your meal. It's just the right blend of cinnamon and coffee. The restaurant itself is impeccable and the wait staff were friendly and efficient.
So good and the prices were reasonable!! Definitely a must try!!
Restaurante netamente mexicano, como pocos en el área, a pesar del nombre que tengan, lo importante son la calidad y autenticidad de los platillos que sirven. Falta reducir los tiempos de espera, mejorar calidez en el servicio. Muy buen café, se recomienda !

Best breakfast and coffee in the Chula Vista area! Service is a bit slow but it’s understandable due to how busy they are, but still friendly.
