Unfortunately I would no longer recommend this practice ever since st joes absorbed it. Get ready to be treated as a billable, not as a patient. I went for my first prenatal appt and they would not do an ultrasound, check fetal heartbeat, or anything else you would expect. They invited a student into my appt without consent. When it was time to schedule my second appt they booked me at Gifford Street for a sono at 12 weeks. I had my second baby with them in 2018 and had an outstanding experience. They were the only ones who didn’t treat me like a child (in my early twenties). Meanwhile for my first and third pregnancies delivered elsewhere, they treated me as such. I felt safe with them, and delivering at St Joes. I have delivered at community before and absolutely hated it. No woman in this building listened to me when i kept telling them i felt like my baby was big besides the fact he measured ahead of his due date. Almost two years ago I was in pain for weeks crying, extremely stressed and irritated they weren’t listening. If you are looking for a natural birthing experience or even any level of compassionate care AVOID Syracuse midwives! The nurse has the worst attitude and the midwives are against natural practices as a whole they will try to bully, belittle, or coerce you into decisions you aren’t understanding of or wanting. You will regret going here- good luck!
I've had 3 children with Syracuse Midwives and had a wonderful experience each time! Highly recommend!
