Do not use this company! Horrible customer service! All calls are taken by people outside U.S. with very hard to understand accents! Plus, it was their fault my propane ran completely out and they waited over 30 hours before refilling the tank! They are too big and too callous! On February 22nd my house in Vermont was getting colder even though I was running the furnace. I checked the Amerigas online tank gauge and it said tank was at 57%. Amerigas has had 3 strikes with me in 6 months. I will be switching to a local gas company this summer. First my propane tank only runs my heater and nothing else. In a small country house. I was assured when my tank was delivered that it had 70% in it already. Which was enough to get through this winter for sure. I was also told my install would be no more than $150.00. 02/23/2022 Your employees shouldn’t be allowed to answer their phones until they are trained, some are highly unprofessional with a nasty attitude that has left me completely speechless. Your customer should always put the customer first, and they should always be treated politely. Over 30 years my family has been a customer of AmeriGas.....Ordered gas at 35% on Jan 29th, Lie after lie every day we called w/ another lie , missed delivery, your on the que, wait your not on the que, we have you scheduled, wait your not on the schedule, you should have ordered when you were at 30%-40%....umm we did, each day I called I was put on hold sometimes for 20 minutes, hung up on numerous times when they clearly did not want to talk to me, back and forth with more lies told to us...had to go and purchase space hea... read more
Amerigas customer service is a joke. We have been a customer(Charlottesville, Virginia area)for 24 years so I guess loyalty means nothing. We have a set schedule to have propane delivered twice yearly. ( which is set by the company NOT us) It so happens that the next delivery was set for Feb. 24, 2022 but on Sunday the 20th were ran out of gas. I have told them several times the gauge on my tank is faulty. They assured me it was fine, so I couldn't watch when I ran too low. Now I'm stuck with a big bill I can't afford. When I tried to leave the company they told me it would be $150 just to leave and have them come get their tank. I was forced into this company when my local company sold out to them. It takes an hour on hold to get ahold of them and they're shady and shiesty. Stay local. I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

Shameful customer service that was front and center on our NH ABC affiliate. I was prompted to check my auto fill metered tanks by the report that many people were reporting that tanks were being allowed to be empty in cold weather. So I checked my tanks via a monitored meter and I was at 15%. I called and spoke with an outsourced agent who said the new rules front corp was no emergency fillls until lower than 12%.
