My son tore his ACL playing soccer when he was only 8 years old. As you can imgine, we were shocked and devastated. Due to my son's young age, the initial doctor to whom we were referred was extremely uncomfortable treating him. Thank God we were then referred to Dr. Symbas. Dr. Symbas immediately put my son at ease, being a former youth soccer player himself. Today my son is 10 years old and back playing academy soccer and I firmly believe this would NOT be the case without Dr. Symbas' care.
Had two surgeries with Dr. Symbas, both to correct arthritic condition in shoulders (Right then, 3 years later, Left). Dr. Symbas explained, in detail, what the condition was, the solution paths, and gave his recommendation. I am extremely happy with the results of both procedures. All previous pain and restrictions have been removed. I highly recommend this Doctor, Surgeon, and all around Good Man.
Dr. Peter Symbas is one of the most caring and thorough orthopedic physicians. I've been seeing him since 2008. I'm also a critical care RN and have know many other physicians. He is a gem. I've had 3 hip replacements and have done well after each of the them. All I have is trust and praise for him.
I have been a patient of Dr. Symbas for 16 years. I have had 5 different, very successful surgeries as well as follow ups and care. I would highly recommend Dr. Symbas and will continue to see him for every orthopedic need I may have.

Dr. Symbas fixed both my shoulders - one with a rotator cuff tear; other with a torn labrum - in 2015. They are both as good as new. He took the time to understand what my goals were, did the surgeries that needed to be done, and then made sure that the rehab started correctly. He is a professional with a great bedside manner.
Dr. Symbas is knowledgeable and has a great "bed side" manner. He explains everything in detail. He listens and is able to give feed back so the patient knows exactly what to expect.

I've been treated twice by Dr Symbas for shoulder rotator cuff injuries. His exams are thorough, and he is conservative about recommending surgery (both of my injuries were rehabbed with physical therapy without requiring surgery). Aside from expertise about shoulder injuries and thoroughness, he takes his time and has explained various excercises to strengthen my rotator cuffs and precautions to avoid further injury. He is compassionate, friendly and down-to-earth.
