I wasn't totally impressed, I thought for the price the would have ml ore of gourmet taste and presentation. I had the crab and spinach enchiladas. They were ok, I order black beans and got refried beans. The bartender was very welcoming and nice. However, I won't be going back. I think I can get better tasting and better presentation at the food trick or at the local Hispanic grocer. SORRY Sylvias...not it
very good service, and food was delicious.
There are actually some other local TexMex places I like slightly better, but Sylvia is the only one that I know of who shared so many of her great recipes in a phenomenal cookbook. Plus, the Sunday brunch is incredible.

Came to Sylvia's for lunch after a recommendation from a friend. The food was awesome - fresh, flavorful and presented beautifully. The entire restaurant staff was friendly and hospitable. We will definitely be back!
Service was fast and friendly. Is a bit pricey, for Mexican food. I’m sure most repeat clientele are coming for the bar offerings. Food was mediocre. Salsa is the “cooked” variety, which I don’t prefer. However the main issue was this; while I waiting, a napkin roll (with silverware inside) hit the floor (fell off the pile). It sat there for at least a minute or two before an employee saw it... who plopped it back on the pile. To some, “big deal”... to me, why not error on the side of caution and wash everything over? Nice margaritas and close to Terry Hersey Park so easy stopping point on a bike ride or walk.
I always get great food and service at Sylvia's... The decor is fabulous too...My daughter and I brought an out of town guest last night and she was very pleased also!..It is so wonderful to have truly good cuisine so close to home!!...Three cheers for Sylvia's Enchilada Kitchen in the Energy Corridor!
