Outside of town for a more peaceful, relaxed, quiet atmosphere. Hiking trails that start right from here and will take you for miles and miles enjoying what mother nature has to offer. Wildlife, birding, photography, fishing opportunities are all here. We have a semi-private hot tub riverside with a wonderful view of the Big Thompson River.

This is a great place to stay when visiting Rocky Mountain NP.The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were updated and the beds were so comfortable? Location was good for a couple day hikes. I would definitely stay here again 😎

As much as I hate to not recommend Swiftcurrent.. our last experience has us not wanting to go back. I was in middle school, maybe even younger, the first time I stayed at Swiftcurrent Lodge. We've been there numerous times in the last 20+ years, enough to know each cabin by heart. From family reunions, my honeymoon, and eventually vacations with our own kids. What a wonderful, relaxing place. Sit back, enjoy the beauty of the river or take a walk that is 5 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park! Sweet owners that meet every need!
My husband and I keep coming back to stay at SL because of the location on the Big Thompson River, literally right outside the door. Also, owners Coni & Gary are so accommodating. The units are small but very clean and have everything we need. We can hike right into RMNP from SL, which is nice if you don’t feel like getting up early to snatch a parking space at a trailhead. And did I mention the hot tub? Always clean and a wonderful vantage point view! We will keep coming back to stay here!

We got to stay before season picked up it was soo beautiful and peaceful!! I loved the sound of the river from our room.. If you can come here and don't you ARE MISSING OUT!!! We will definitely be back thank you so much Coni Gary and donna for making our stay clean and comfortable!!! Estes town is soo beautiful to you gotta check it out!!
Coni and Gary are wonderful folks. Staying on the Big Thompson River was a highlight. The 300 yards to the RMNP was a bonus and something to do when not heading to the mountains. If I ever get to Estes Park again, this is where I'll stay! thanks for the great memories for me and my sons.
I cant say enough about our stay here! Just about everything you need is provided for you and the view is heavenly!! Highly recommended!
